Debra Lerner, MSc, PhD, is the director and founder of the Program on Health, Work and Productivity, within Tufts Medical Center Institute for Clinical Research and Health Policy Studies. She is a senior scientist and professor in the Departments of Medicine and Psychiatry of Tufts School of Medicine, and associate director of the Tufts Clinical and Translational Science Institute. She has dedicated her professional career to advancing the science and practice of functional health improvement for working adults. Her goal is to enable all adults to remain productive throughout the life course. She and her team developed the Work Limitations Questionnaire (WLQ) and the Caregiver WLQ. Dr. Lerner has specialized in mental health issues, and developed the telehealth Be Well at Work program. She is on the board of The Health Project and serves as president of the Center for Workforce Health and Performance (CWHP).
