Program Associate
Rachel Locke, MPH, CPH, is a program associate at the de Beaumont Foundation. She manages grants across the foundation’s portfolios and assesses impacts of its programs. Her work includes researching collaborations between business and governmental public health departments that are working to improve community health. Before starting her current role, she completed the Association of Schools and Programs of Public Health Philanthropy Fellowship at the Foundation. Rachel previously was the health and science node coordinator for the Cancer Free Economy Network, where she researched health and scientific impact data about environmental carcinogenesis and worked on primary cancer prevention initiatives. She also worked as a graduate intern for the Big Cities Health Coalition, expanding the Big Cities Health Inventory and producing content for policy pages. Rachel received her MPH from the Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health’s Environmental Health Department. She earned her BA in environmental thought and practice and public policy and leadership from the Frank Batten School of Leadership and Public Policy at the University of Virginia.
