People join companies and leave managers. Like it or not, our personal well-being is largely dependent on our manager. Yet every day strong individual contributors are promoted to manager with little to no training. Management training helps, but management is like wellness, it is only mastered by embracing hundreds of tiny habits one at a time. This session explores how a wellness program can be expanded to build healthy management habits too, resulting in a healthier work environment and a higher levels of well-being. After completing this session, participants will be able to: (1) Update your wellness program to include fostering good management habits, (2) Gain middle management support for your wellness program, and (3) Use dozens of sample manager-oriented activities included in the presentation.
